Q3A remakes, please!

I'm a former Quake 3 Arena player who plays Unreal Tournament since my Q3A dosen't work. I think that the UT maps are BORING when compared to Q3A maps so could someone PLEASE do a remake of Q3DM19(Apocalypse void)

And/Or a remake of the best map in a FirstPersonShooter game: Q3TOURNEY6(The Very End Of You)

So i could play those maps even if my Q3A dosen't work?

Hay I have quake 3 and Unreal T. and I play Unreal T. more than i do Quake 3 I do not even hav it on my hard drive. I just get bored of quake 3 quicker than I do unreal. Shore tha graphics are Great but it gets boring fast. If you want remakes you could try looking for any Q3 fans.

Any way the maps you show well I have played them and I dis like those maps They suck

You can just tell they put alot of effort into those maps. They look cubish for a reason. Hence the fact that the game lost intrest in 2 seconds. They may have curved surfaces but they dont have attitude now do they.

Ya had an intense game of Q3 for 30 minutes on lan at school today. Damn fun, won all 6 games. lol. But I'd still rather play UT or 2K3 anyday over quake3. Just because the interface and the ability to 'Alt - Tab'. Gotta hate when the teachers walk by and your frantically hitting the alt and tab and nothing is happening. Then your like, I'm doing art, seriously. Off to the office I go. LOL

I wish the pointless hostility between ut and q3 would come to an end. It's been going on for so long now They're both very nice games. Quite different yes, but both outstanding.

Q3A and UT are too differnt to compair. If you want to play Quake 3 irena, go play it. if u want to play UT, go play it. i CAN totally understand why you might want to play Quake 3 irena maps in UT. The Quake 3 maps seemed to have flow to them.. something the UT2003 maps didnt seem to have.

The only orignal DM UT2003 maps i ever play are "Oceanic" and "Gael". but i still think UT2003 is a better game then Q3 for Death Match.

That's not in question here. The guy just wanted those maps in UT to play, period.

As far i'm concerned, i DO LIKE Q3A and i'm NOT ASHAME!
One of those maps has already been done for UT (the DM-the very f**ing end, i think that was the name, but was a lame-ish map).

Still, i would love to play Hero's Keep in UT and other one i can't remenber the name. Or i might try doing it in UT... someday... eventually...

DM-Edge and DM-Fragpipe are remakes of Q2 been made for UT, they work pretty well and many players liked them. I didn´t like both anyways.

Q3 gameplay style is totally different from UT, remaking maps from one to the other won´t work because the felling is different.

About the request I heard about a BSP tool which could convert Q3 map data into UEd format, but Ive never made any Q3 map to tell you about it.

Exception made to the simplistic layout all over, that is one of the sweetest maps i found in Q3A... as for theme goes...

With regards to part of the first post, if you think 2k* maps are boring, I'm not sure what would please you. To me, UT maps are better than any Q map I've played which to be honest is only the demo maps which caused me never to buy the game cause no dodge=teh suxxorz. But visually UT is much more engaging.

Q used to ahve better textures, but that has since changed

Quake 3: Arena maps that would be worth remaking:
q3dm9 because it's damn funny
q3dm12, q3dm14tmp, and with a little more verticality, q3dm7tmp
Also a lot of maps in the mods such as CPMA or OSP are amazingly good.
Quake 3's space maps were it's equivalent of UTs gimmick style maps like Morpheus imo. Fun for a while but the real meal was else where.

I like all the Quake games and all the Unreal games. I play (or have played) them a lot. They all have a distinct character, like different flavours of wine :-D

The custom map called "overkill", would really fit Ut2004 imho...
