Previous Versions and Clans Question

wow. it's been a long time since i've played this game... i'm wondering if someone can refresh my memory with a few things

-what were the previous versions of this game?

i believe the last time i played was 2 1/2 to 3 years ago... there was a version that introduced a mansion level that's out in a field... erm - i remember there being a snow level with a huge base and some mountains, and a great city level with an underground sewer... that's all i remember... i recall playing the version before the Mansion level was around... then the patch came out... then i quit because i got bored and didn't like the new patch. I believe it was right around the time that this page got up and was talking about a big new version...

-is there a list of clans?

i did a google and forum search and got nothing... i used to be in a clan when i played, but i only practiced, never played in any actual games...

i'm just trying to remember what i played - and what clan i was in.

anyway, i'm in line to download the new patch. got UT:GOTY setup. So i thought i'd try out the new version and see how it is...

If it's a patchable version, it'll probably be 2.85(.1-.5). Probably the best clan list can be found at the ILCR. I don't think many of the pre-2.86 clans are around any more, though.

Welcome back. From what you describe, I think you're talking about ManorFarm, Chasm, and Sicily. Those are 2.85 maps IIRC.
I hope you enjoy 2.9. A lot has changed since you last played, so be sure to check out the manual.

All three of those maps will work with 2.9. ManorFarm is not running on my TDM or DTAS servers, however, due to incompatibilities with Random Team Spawns.

You are thinking of ManorFarm, Novosibirsk (shan's got it on the SG DTAS server) and Sicily, i believe.
