I know how to put the skin on the male or female soldier (UT99) but I have no idea of the programming involved.. The ".int" files, the ".u" file.. What do I type in?

AFAIK, you need 2 files. The texture file and the intfile. The int file must be named the same way the original ones are (eg.: malesoldierskins.int and sgirlskins.int -> so malesoldierskins_YourSkin and sgirlskins_Yourskin)
I don`t know how they are called exactly, I`d suggest you simply download a custom skin for the desired model and look how the author has done it. It should be no prob to gain knowledge out of this :)

    good luck
