Possible Crashing Fix

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

When I set my list to handle all maps, I would have the system crash cause when it failed to switch maps, it continues with last map. clients log in and crash completely.

To Fix this, you can ONLY add in 31 maps and set it to Map list in the admin section. This fixed the client crashes we experienced (so far that is).

What I would recommend is at the start of a level, ONLY scan hard drive once, and dump it into the map file. This will be smarter to do and less overhead altogether.

I'm not sure I understand completely.
MapVote only "scans" the disk drive once at the beginning of
each map game play.
The version that I am working on right now has a special feature
to detect map change failures. If there is a failure it selects a
different map at random and switches to it instead.
This will prevent the problem with getting stuck in an infinite loop
when there is a texture or map file missing.

The problem seems to be some maps with Mapvote enabled. Too bad :( could be possible that some maps needed bonus packs which we were not aware of.

Anyways, I weeded out the bad maps.
