How much free space do u guys have on your main hard drives (C drive)? I was just curious because i cant start up infiltration due to not having enough virtual memory

Yes, I had this problem with RealCTF and Infiltration on some special maps when starting for the first time, another try always seamed to work then. I know this is a weak theory, but just stupidly retrying worked for me. It was not a W95 problem, but an Unreal one.

Independent to this, you should consider a fixed swap file for W95 which increases your performance a bit. Defragment you drive first, then set it in preferences->systems to the 2 1/2 times size of your memory.

There a many nice tweak guides out there which give you more tips especially on memory and performance: www.tweak3d.net

Weird, I only have 500MB (Out of 4 Gigs, too much Unreal stuff /infopop/emoticons\icon_wink.gif) and I run fine, on everything!

Ok, a couple things could be going on:

1) Someone mentioned defragging your drive, this is a VERY good idea... Windows barfs on too may fragments, it seems to like continous free space only.

2) Our most excellent hardware member, cak, has a partition on his drive set aside for JUST the windows cache file.

3) Close down all other running programs. Popular programs with KNOWN virtual memory black holes include ICQ, Checkit Net Optimizer, Neoplanet and Windows! (lol, you can't close the last, but it certainly has problems!)

4) Try increasing your Unreal memory cache size. 64 to 128Mb should do it. The more space you can set aside for Unreal's own cache, the less it will have to ask windows for cache. (NOTE: This is not the video cache! The OTHER cache line...)

Hope this helps!
