we recently dl'd some models and installed them correctly according to the readme.we double checked then triple checked.
the problem is is that we can't see each other.
we can both see the models fine on our end but i can't see his and vice versa.
    what gives?

I don't know if this helps but:

are you both running the same version?

what version are you running?

To what directory did you install the models?

Do you see a "green" skin instead?

Are you LAN'ing it, or are you playing on an Internet server?

Also, the skin must be on the server that you are playing on. If you see green skins, like Wolf typed, it's probably not on the server.

The installation instructions may only contain the installation for client / singleplayer mode.

Does it include adding the models to the serverpackages section of the UT.ini??

Open Windows Explorer. Got to your UT directory, and open up your System folder.

    Default is:
    C:\UnrealTournament\System

    Open the folder marked "UnrealTournament.ini"

scroll down until you see a block of lines that say "ServerPackages"

Add one more line: ServerPackages=(name of Skin)

Note:The skin name should be without extensions, just the name of the skin.

Save and close the file, and fire up UT. Both you and your friend should do this.
