playin on the roost last night (language)

well as yall know my dsl since may has been a total joke. recently it was fixed, but everquest has already done its damage to my playing so i don't play ut very much if at all anymore. maybe once every two weeks. anyways i was told i had a match last night so i showed up to play. it was cancelled but my clanmate hk (some of yall know him as himura kenshin) said well lets play anyways, i'll find a server.

lo and behold, when i connected it was to the roost. i was happy as i saw a few of us puffers log in here and there.. i was playing like sh!t of course from the rust but i was having fun. so then we get to orbital (i don't particularly like this map, i get lost in it constantly) and gd-cooltown logs in. towards the end of the game he has the flag, and i nailed him. anyhow here's the chat log of what happened when i killed him:

the point of this is, cooltown knows very well that i'm female, and telling me that he's going to rape me is utter and complete bullsh!t. i got so pissed off that i logged immediately (when i said bye). i know my language was a bit poor after he said that but i was/still am honestly shocked that somebody said that to me.

i know the terms 'rape' 'fag' 'gay' 'homo' are tossed around like nothing in some parts of the ut community (i've been guilty of using words like that myself in the past) but i just can't take somebody telling me something like what was said in the chat log. that really made me sit back and think how f*cked up it is that people say stuff like that to others and think its ok. well it's not ok, somebody finally got offended by it.

anyways that's about all i have to say on the matter. i'm watching my mouth from now on because i never realized how much one word can hurt the right person.

About the flakfag stuff........I've heard someone saying that to me too on 'The Roost' a few days ago......maybe the same person.....was it the shockho-who-hates-flakusers-guy again? Damnit! Jenny, some of your NWA pals were on CMi's new server and we even had an imprompitu scrim with them. I remembered you were in that clan and told them to get you to come play on our server. I'm really glad you got your DSL fixed, but I'm really pissed off that this kinda bull**** has to be one of the first things you run into on coming back to the game I thought I recognized this guy as a former |C| member...glad he's not there anymore.
