{PiMp} Mud Skaarj

Well, here's something I was up all night fiddling with. I set out to make a Yeti-type creature out of the Skaarj. Seems like alot of the packaged skins with 04 aren't very useful as other species, but I like to try and bend those rules.

Anywho, the end result is what I call the Mud Skaarj, perhaps a swamp-dwelling species from the Skaarj homeworld.

I'm still going to be touching up (especially around contrast edges) and I have to make team colors, but I won't be able to get around to it till next week because I'm leaving on a trip later this evening. But I look forward to returning to a plethora of comments, suggestions, and mindless flattery.

Yay for trips being delayed a day! I had a chance to make up some primitive team colors, and I'll probably be uploading it around Monday or Tuesday. I'm still fiddling with jewelry and details and whatnot. I may keep it light, and if the response is positive enough, I might make more Mud Skaarj in the future.

I have to say this skin has grown on me... and the funny part is I almost passed it up.

In the example window on skincity.. where they show you what the skin looks like.. it just kinda looks like a blurry brown blurb.. and I was about to move on and look at something else when I noticed the leather texture on one of the armbands.. I downloaded it and sure enough the images did not quite do it justice.. (Do they ever?) Very nice skin.. I like the fur alot.. and of course the leather bands are very well done. I used to piddle around making leather "Armor" with a few friends and its nice to see rough, handmade leather on a model.. it has a very real feel to it that kinda escapes alot of the metal, bodymolded armor most of the skins use.

No , they don´t do justice . I have to find the best between quality and filesize for the pics .It would be teh horror for modemusers , if I upload 200 KB-Pics or bigger.So I have to compress them a little bit .They don´t do justice , but I´m sure , for an info they are good enough.
Btw : Not many Sites are showing pics . Ever downloaded from Fileplanet ? You don´t know what you get

Nono friend.. you misunderstand.. rather I worded it poorly. What I mean is, much like you said there are limitations.. ecspecialy when one needs to accomadate for the connection impared.. ^_~ I very much like the way Skin city is set up, a quick glance tells me what I need to know and if anything has been updated... a click beyond that tells me what has been updated and even what it looks like... a click beyond that gives me a decently sized preview of the new material running jumping and even piloting a vehicle...

No complaints at all friend. Infact.. Kudo's to you.
