patch still does not detect dx7

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Finally installed the patch onto a minimal install UT - thanks to the fix on the unreal tech page. But, dx7 still is not detected and reported as "supported".
I still have to go into "show all" and set to use dx7 there.

Anyone else have this prob and/or a fix???

system:
P2, win98, tnt2ultra w/nvidia 3.53 driver, dx7.
