Parameter to join a server directly

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Hi guys,

in UT games and XMP you are able to start the game and join a server automatically with this command:

"ut2004.exe IP:port"

However this does not seem to work in UTXMP. When I enter this:

"ut2004.exe -mod=UTXMP IP:port" ...

it will start UTXMP, I can see the logo, but it will not connect to the server. Am I doing something wrong, or will it not work with 3rd party mods?

No, not really. The installer registers the utxmp:// protocol with windows so you can click the links from everywhere in windows and it'll launch utxmp. That includes mirc, webpages etc.

If it didn't, run UTXMPRegistry.exe in UT2004\UTXMP\System.
