OT: router thingy q's

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. my bro is going to get ut2k4 (someday :rolleyes: ) and he is behind a router and rr isp. we used to be able to play UT, him serving. now his server is not showing up in the list. i told him to get into routers control panel and open UT.exe ports 7777 and 7778... i believe these are the 2 he needs to open, correct? Are they the same ports for ut2k4? he switched to a static IP addy.... anything with that, that would cause this? i know nothing @ routers, sorry.

Anyway, when he finally does get 2k4 we will have another unwheeler to play :)
i think hes already downloaded the .zip lolol... i dont know what hes waiting on :stick:

ut2004 game is ut2004.exe, yes 7777 and 7778 are are used for both UT and ut2004, uhh yeah, it should be a TCP port, uhm, thats all i can think of, ive also noticed this problem, after runnign some tests i belive the probelm is comming from my ISP, ever sence i went to cable i cant host for UT2004, even with a new router, cant seem to get it working, you might wnana try removing your router connecting directly to your modem then checking if you can host, if you can itd your router, otherwise its prolly your ISP, thats all i can think of ATM...
