Opening patch 436 with UMOD utility?

I can't install patch 436 because I get extraction errors. I've tried a thorough scan disk, reformatting with XP and then going back to 98 yet nothing works. Is there a way I can use the UMOD utility to extract the contents of patch 436?

WinZip Self-Extractor header corrupt. Possible cause: bad disk or file transfer error.

Mabee you got a bad zip of the patch.
try to delete the zip you have and dnld it again.....

try the UT map manager. When you run it be sure that the patch zip is on the desk top. Also be sure that the patch is the ONLY zip on the desk top!! try that!!

I tried different servers many times. I have Winrar as I get the same extraction error when I try install Winzip. My friend was able to install Winzip but it made no difference.

just for giggles.. have you tried to REinstall WinRAR

Try putting the .umod file on a zip disk or a cd (different drive than the drive with UT disk in) or put it on a different hard drive ( if you have one.
Now try running the .umod file. Chances are that it will work. (that is if its not corrupted)

It goes with out saying that it should work properly on its own.
But even pigs have to land in the south before they turn around and go north again. Hehe

What your trying to install a patch with a umod tool. I really don't suggest doing that. You just double click the patch to install.
