I know what you mean, but I was just trying to encourage you, since you mentioned "There is a bit of let down/jealousy."

And my office just tightened down security on us as well, so I've got a lot of my favorite sites blocked. Someone was caught frequenting a porn site (a girl was doing it, believe it or not ), so they've upped the security. I can't even get to my external email accounts. Luckily, BUF slipped through.

It's a shotgun approach to humor. I have made 5,537 posts. All told, I have said maybe 12 genuinely funny things. I'm just glad you remember the good times.

It's nothing personal, I don't read the fo's like I used to.

My 'list' is just people that have said things that have made it to the stickies in my head. Stuff I lollered at first at and then chuckle at occasionally at odd moments which makes my wife go: "what are you laughing at?".....me: "oh, nothing".

- Ren: "oh, I thought we were all telling where we're from". (had to be there)

- Buddy Lee: lotsa odd little phrases.

- Karn, he posted a map preview a long time ago that had some really odd screenshots and some cheesy keyboard music to go with it. (you had to be there). And another time he posted a crude Paint picture of a guy in a black hat killing people with his "hand". (also had to be there)

- Worf, the two I posted above. Will probably have me giggling at odd times the rest of my life.

Suggestions? I live in NYC, I see burning trash cans in the bronx sometimes. Oh right, bicycle racks, the ones to lock your bike to. Maybe a couple of Chinese restaurants too

From that screenshot right there, I have a suggestion.

Lighting. Too much white gets boring, fast. I would make the streetlights yellow, and definitely add coronas everywhere to add contrast.

I remember earlier you were shooting for an NFSU-style map, and that game was absolutely filled with high contrast lighting and coronas.

Just a suggestion though... you're free to do what you want.

Just a suggestion though... you're free to do what you want.

I tried the coronas, and they look good but I don't think that many people have coronas turned on. They're one of those fps draggin features that most people turn off right away. (I'm guessing).

What I do have in place of the 'corona' effect is alot of unlit surfaces (such as the street light covers are a separate mesh).

oh, the street lights are yellow. I thought you knew that? I did that a long time ago at your suggestion. You're just getting old and forgetting.......whaa??.
