  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Soo, I have decided to use a lot of open source stuff. After a few minutes of cursing and shouting I found Gimp quite good and powerful. I'm not sure if I need Photoshop ever again.

But Blender...

I am only modeling a bit for fun, and only really tried max, but WHAT THE HELL! Is there even a way for a 4 screen layout? I can't even find a configuration menu.

Does anyone have tips for getting into Blender? :)

heh. yeah, blender is quite ... different. The GUI is unlike anything i've ever seen.

There is a way to split screen anyway you like: (I hope this helps)

If you are completely new to blender (as I assume). I'd recommend that you'd check from "n00b to pro" wikibook. It's good for learning the GUI and modeling in blender in general.:

It's been awhile since I used 3dmodelers. But I recall that with blender I actually got used to use just one viewport and change it when nescessary.
