OMG?? Quad SLI?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

"It is the all new DELL XPS 600 Renegade and it has been equipped with a Quad SLI configuration of GeForce 7800 GTX graphics units. Basically it consists out of two cards with each two GPUs and each card has a Gig, this 2x 512 MB on-board.

Now I can't say it like that, but that's a 2 GB, 96 active pipelines 41 Gigapixels monster. See .. now you can play your games at 2560x1200 with 32x anti-aliasing .. the 32x is no joke btw. Quad SLI officially will be introduced into the new ForceWare 90 series drivers."

Does this mean the 90x series drivers are around the corner?

Can you say extreme CPU bottle neck??!!!
Wonder why they went with an overclocked Intel instead of a FX57 or a FX60 (soon to be released)?

*EDIT*
...as long as your talking overclocked new tech, they should overclock it with one of the new OCZ phase-change coolers, said to come in at around $300-350.00!! That`s about the same price as a really good water cooling set up, but with way less hassle setup and lower then ambient temps.

dual CPUs are only good if you are basicly making a game or doing hard core video editing.

only 2 games that i know of support dual cores but one actualy does worse with it enabled.

Dual cores work for most all games besides the ones optimised by the NVidia drivers, just open the device manager to the performance tab, play and shut a game down after playing for awhile, they do use both cores. Although, something I just thought of, I`m running an SLI rig, so I wonder if the SLI instructions are running through one core and the game through the other and that`s why both cores show activity while gaming.

Yes, things have changed in the last few months since AMD released its dual core chips. More programs including games and even Video card drivers are supporting dual core chips.

It's really making a difference now that dual core chips are affordable and mainstream.
