...cause the Eagle of Death near Battery park is just such an awesome statue

Just the kind of art, Gears' lost beauty came from.

Well I just got back home from the Wedding. And hell yes, I was very nervous before hand. But once the ceremony started, I calmed down. I was more concerned about my lound shutter noise from my 30D. CLUNK!

I have the images downloading on my PC right now. I took about 300 pictures, between the Wedding and a portrait session at a local park, about 2 or 3 hours before the wedding. My favorite shot is in the park. Their's will probably be in the Church. They are Christians, so I got a nice shot of them together kissing with a huge cross behind them.

I sure hope they like the pictures. I'll post up my better ones when I have them all done. I'd give it about a week.

It's a scientific fact that the louder the shutter, the better your camera is - to the uneducated person. But I can't help feeling really self-conscious when taking pictures in a relatively quiet place with people around me. Especially when I catch them glancing at me - what on earth you looking at, you middle-aged lady!? :tinfoil3:

Anyway, bring on the pics. :)

Experimenting with a plugin (Nik Software). I could have achieved a similar effect with the normal tools, but using a plugin is obviously much more convenient. Personally, I find the grainy, washed out texture to be just short of orgasmic.

^ seems like a shot from the 60s or something, that is an effect I like as well. I used to shoot old kodak b&w film at high iso's, and it would achieve a very similar effect.

Grr, Igoy. Stop taking great pictures. ;)

Did you just sharpen & desaturate the photo(s)?

Thank you both!
And yeah, pretty much. Lighting obviously wasn't an issue thanks to studio tinkering!
EDIT: Actually I don't think I sharpened this, I can't remember. I know the photo was pretty ****ing sharp to begin with, the technician said freakishly so, haha.
