I have been shooting with a 50mm 1.7 lens with my Minolta SRT102 and have been really enjoying it. I am wanting to get one for my Canon EOS KissX2 (450D); what do you think about this lens?

thanks Neonite, yeah getting good sunset/sunrise pictures can be hard. I was lucky with the god rays I caught in that one, if it weren't for those the pic wouldn't have been half as interesting.

I really like that one, is there a particular reason why both shots are mostly set in green?

Thanks kantham, no reason other than I chose two that would go together. Most of my shots have a degree of color editing though, including both of those.

Although I seldom visit those kind of environments I think they make for some very interesting pictures, so I may be interested in doing it again. Why do you ask?

I don't really do urban exploration myself, but I really enjoy looking at pics of that sort. Btw we have a group on BuF about that; I'll go ahead and invite you to it. (It's not really that active, though...)
