Be careful what you wish for.....
Even though I think that the message boards used to be better, I still think that they could get much worse.
Imagine this:
Inf 2.8 is released.
The crowd goes wild.
298,756 new users sign up for the message board with, well, names like GoatFucker (No offense intended towards you, just your name), or BloodyCum, or something equally as silly.
And then they start posting.
Flame wars erupt between rival UT mods.
The valiant Inf teams tries to combat the growing trend of Stupid Previously Answered Questionsâ„¢, but eventually fail and all, except for Warren go completely crazy.
Progress on version 3.0 is totally halted, and no one in their right mind will even consider touching the forum with a 40 foot cursor.
Warren finally does the humane thing and destroys half of contenental US to bring down the Planetunreal server, and with it, the festering wound that had become the Inf forums.
Actually, I can't really see that happening, but I don't know if having a lot more newbies on the forum would be a good idea after all.
Or then again, maybe that's just the cheap Cola talking
