new "score" mutator is totally munged!

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

never-fails. every level change, my client quits out with an engine level error: something about updating next tick, or waiting for next tick....


please don't get me wrong, i appreciate the work put into this, but hear me out:

1.) regardless of what admins *want* a frag-based score system is not what sentry studios intended...

2.) perhaps if the team were properly petitioned, the feature could added as a server-side, toggleable preference--not a brutal hack that boots every other player to the desktop.

i'm not the only player that has experienced this. and i know what you're saying: "You wouldn't be complaining if you hadn't crashed!" and you're probably right! but please, admins! do the community a fave before subjecting their equipment to *alpha* software--test it fer chrissakes!! my machine locked up as result of one these kicked-to-the-desktop failures. it wasn't cute. at least put a message in the MOTD that you're running a hacked server...

again, i see where you're going, and again, i appreciate your hard work, so no flames, just act responsibly when people place the care of their equipment in your hands (as an admin).

I have no idea what you are talking about. You are first to say anything. I doubt this is related to the mutator, but i suppose it might be. I've been playing on servers with it pretty reguaraly and i've never had/seen this before.


I'll take a look though.

If anyone else has had this problem, let me know.

Is there a specific map it occurs on? I'll have to try to get this error. Neither my clan nor i have gotten this.

This same problem happened to me twice last night, always during the map switch. It happened on CubanDawn and Atoll.

I did not have this problem before loading the latest release of your mutator. I will remove the mutator tonight and see if people's systems are still crashing during map changes.

Well, i'm pretty sure it is my mutator. It is something very odd. I looked at it last nite and i'll have a new version tonight hopfully.


It's just really hard to test because of the randomness of the bug.
