Latest additions to the gameplay: Some pretty cool Mouse Steering support, as well as.......... *tum da dum* .......... support for analog controllers :D. So now you can steer with your steering wheel, joystick or gamepad (if the pad has a stick, like a PS2 controller). What that means is that you can steer in gradients, rather than completely left, or completely right all the time like with the keyboard.

I got myself a Logitech Dual Action pad (shaped just like a PS2 Dual Shock controller) and I can use the sticks as I would in any PS2 driving game. Quite a nice little pad, very cheap too: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/ZA/EN,CRID=11,CONTENTID=6951

With the behind view, and the analog steering setup, it feels just like a regular driving game rather than a UT mod :p.

Hummmmmmmm.....a bit misleading don't you think?
had me thinkin' the patch was out, just to d/l the same 221,111kb file
I think it's getting safe to say the wait is getting too long...Ya'll shouldn't have mentioned the patch till 1-2 weeks befor releasing it. You also need to mention that the d/l you post on the home page isn't the new patch, but the current/last release. Maybe post the release date for the d/l posted so we know what we're getting.
 :(

UnWheel EC is out!

I don't think there's any need for a fancy post about this, the mod speaks for itself. You can grab it in 2 flavours, .zip and .exe:

Download UnWheel EC EXE Installer from FileWorks
Download UnWheel EC ZIP from FileWorks
Download UnWheel EC EXE Installer from UnrealEXTREME.de

The ReadMe document for this version is available online, right here.

Here's a pic of the map ProjectX refered to, a race TableTop. The is totally his conversion, with permission from Diego1203 and myself:) ProjectX, the two inset pics are area's I think are too tight, and make sure the final build uses RGB8 compression in the build options, it shades the white areas much better than DXT compression.

I know if I took the time to read it (doh) I would have seen it dosen't say "new patch"
I think you need to goto the UW web site and see what it says today. Like I said, it's my bad for assuming. I started to read, but then got cought up in the screenshots and just thought it was the patch release. If I would have read the full thing, I would have seen the part that says
" Here are just a few of the things new/fixed/updated that you can look forward to playing with in the very near future:"
my bad, but still looks like a patch release the way that it's posted....

UWRC-TableTop is brilliant, I love it. Great job there PX.

In fact all those new/updated maps - UrbanNight, DesertShrine, KBallStadium, the new updated TableTops, GarageKing, FurrowDash, JumpCity, SuperCross, PavilionWars, etc - are all brilliant :D.

* Shrimp wipes a tear from his eye as he looks over the map list... It's beautiful guys, well done, everyone ;)

Thanx, I'll widen those areas, they were wider, but I replaced a static mesh with a lower-poly one which messed up its orientation
(it was the hoop mesh) and it sorta changed the layout.
