Lets talk about this right here.
We want to keep the 1v1 going but lets start discussing a 2v2.
Some of us talked last nite about this and we came up with a few ideas.
1) You can't have two Alphas on the same team unless aprroved by all Assassins in the tourney.
2) You can be on more then 1 team.
Team 1: TAZTG-Meat & Team 2: TAZTG-Kitty
3) Here's another idea: Let Non-Alpha members rotate teams.

Post some of your thoughts??

Yes that round robin 2v2 sounds good. Do you want to rotate all Assassins or just Non-Alpha??

Personally, I wanted a full round-robin. That would mean an actual tournament format with set matches, and a true beginning and end. There wouldn't be challenges, just something to figure out what time the certain four people can play a match. How many total matches there are would depend on how many total people participated.

The match schedule could be worked out in advance, so what we could do is set off something like three times a week where everyone (or nearly so) could meet for an hour, and have each match take place during one of those times, with everyone not actually playing being able to spectate. It doesn't have to be done that way, though; it's just a suggestion.

If it was full round-robin, it would be more like a "season" schedule. It would not be an elimination tournament, which is what the bracket format would be for. It could be that each participant gets a schedule that says who their teammate would be and who they would be playing against. Like I said before on the other thread, I'd be willing to work up that schedule, in an effort to make sure everyone gets a fair chance to win at least 2 out of every four matches (i.e., avoid a Beta playing with another Beta against 2 Alphas three matches in a row).

I'm not saying we can't ever have a regular 2v2 ladder, or an elimination tourney; just that, to begin with, this would reveal more that we can learn from than the other options.

Do you know what "round robin" means?

round robin n. A tournament in which each contestant is matched in turn against every other contestant.

I am willing to give it a shot SS.
BC, what Steel is saying means that their is no set teams. Your Teammate would always rotate. That way everyone gets a chance to team up. There is also a fixed schedule so there would be no need to make a challenge and have to accept one. The time would be the only thing that would be scheduled. The more Assassins we can get involved the better this Round Robin style of play is.
This is a cool idea and I think worth a try. It would mean more playing time with each other and a HELL of ALOT of FUN.. :) :)

It would be an individual thing where everyone would play on every else's team. It would be a round-robin rotating schedule, with everyone playing against and with everyone else. The winner at the end of the tournament would be the individual with the most wins, with other rewards like "best team", "most consistant", "MVP", "best defender", and "best flag carrier", etc. Would anyone be interested in that?
