New idea for Skincity

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Wouldnt it be good if the search funtion could search for the authors
that made the models/skins...
It would be easier to find models/skins of one author instead of
of keep searching around the pics and read the author there.
I know that it will need a lot of rework but its just an suggestion from me...

Great idea and welcome to the board. :)

The authorsearch is on our todo-list , but our coder is really short on time at the moment .
We have some more in mind , a tutorial-section @ SkinCity for example , but there is the annoying "Real-Life".
And it´s a lot of work , every author must be manually added to the database , after we expand our Backend.Holy s**t , over 2300 models and skins :D .

I hope we get it done at the End of the year.

Mm, Real Life is giving so much troubles right now...

BTW, SaD, you can put links on the forum to that to tutorials which they must include:
-Basis of Upaint
-How to skin
-Risk your own life: make a model
-Running your creations on UEngine (this is a major problem when a model doesn't come in "defaults" files).
Etc.

I like the ideas.

I have permission from the Identity Crisis Staff to host their tutorials @ SkinCity .
This will be the first step .After that some skilled people can write up some UPaint-Tut´s and so on and we will host them , too.
But as I said before , I hope we get it done at the end of the year .
So , no need for rush  .

There are many links to some good tutorials here at the forum :
Tutorial-list
Tutorial : UPaint A-Z
Tutorial : Teamcolors in UT 2004

"Real life" problems?
You are not alone, becuase i got some problems in my school...
I dont want to talk about it because its terrible :shake: ...
But i must ask you modellers out here:
Can i make characters/vehicles with the 3D program Milkshape?
And if it works, how do i import it into Uedit?
