I'm having some real probs with trying to update to version 2.26 final of Unreal from the retail version of unreal (the one that first came out, not game of the year, not a new one, bought it when it first came out) I haven't played it in a while, and i bought a new comp. about 9 months ago and it worked on it then, but i didn't play it much then either, i have since re-formatted my hard drive, and now i get an elaborate error when i try to run the update. It's not very specific, but it is as follows:
CoInitialize(NULL) fail (00000001)
History:WFilterWizard::OnInitDialog<-WWindow::WndProc<-WWindow::StaticProc<-WDialog:oModal<-Setup
All i know that MAY be causing the prob. is that i have upgraded to the Beta of Internet Explorer 6.0, and they changed some things, and i know Unreal has http intgration, but i'm not sure, i have a 800 MHTZ Athlon, TNT2 M64 (Detonator 3 driver), a Sound Blaster PCI 128 (Driver V. 4.12), Win 98, i have no clue what to do, do i need another earlier update b4 i can use this one? or does IE6 just mess it all up without any hope, thanks for your help.
