Need A Little Help...

I'm writing a Tip for when Capture returns about Dealing With Cheaters which was inspired by recent events.

I'd like to get several people's opinions on Using Bots, Bugs in the game, and Errors in maps to their advantage...(Aimbots, ELFbots <--bleh, automatic flag cap...[if you know what I mean], going under maps, hiding behind walls etc.)

I'd like to include things to do or say to the person that you KNOW...and I'm stressing KNOW is cheating...from letting everyone else on the server know they are cheating...to immediately leaving the server and contacting the server admin...(I've thought most of this out already).

Tell me your thoughts...and don't go short on me either. If you have a lot to say, let it be known.

Cheaters should be dealt with as brutally as possible. Cheaters have no place in a competitive community like the Low Gravity Instagib. It is incredibly frustrating, for those who fight hard and put time in the game to become good and competive, to have those noobs with their aimbots or elfbots or whatever enter a perfectly good game and screw everything up.

I fought long and hard to become what I am in this game and I feel that cheaters are only there to ruin gaming for everybody.

My word to cheaters: If you guys/girls suck too much at a game that you can't play without using cheats... DON'T PLAY DAMMIT.

Cheating takes the fun out of a game.
Cheaters violate all the players in a match, and generally destroy the game's value for everyone playing.

I am with DEV & Lurk on this. Straight out CHeating should be dealt with harshly and as swiftly as possible. That would include Aimbot, Elfbot and other forms of Coding to get an advantage.

Another Form of Cheating would include taking advantage of Holes or Errrors in the MAP. This is just as bad as the type listed above.
Mounds is a classic example. You can get under the map and cheat your Arse off. There is a DM Map thats the same way. When we was running Invasion on our Server I came in and didn't see anyone but saw shots being fired. It was a very high level and I died quick, so I saw where everyone got under the map and was just killing. It was only Invasion so I typed a short message that stated Cheating wouldn't be tolerated. You have to come up and play on the map. They didn't so I reset the server for CTF.

I don't think Camping in CTF is a Cheat because thats actually Defense and Hiding with the Flag isn't a cheat as long as its in the map not in a hole or error.

I think folks in the LGI Community are great players and don't cheat but there are always a few folks that gop against the grain.
