Well recently I've been listening to Indy flavoured songs, Snow Patrol, Keane ect but on every one of my playlists there was always these four tracks.

Massive Attack - Teardrop
Robert Miles - Children
Chicane - Saltwater
Massive Attack - Angel

Teardrop has to be pretty much by favourite track of all time, chills me right out and so I thought I'd see if you guys know of any other similar songs or albums that judging from the little list above you think i'd get an orgasm over.

Though I appreciate any replies I'm not really looking for "Omfg Linkin Park chills me right out!"

go go go

Chillout? That's my language. I live next to the sea, and this is what you need for the sunsets with a nice cold beer. (the pic in my avatar tells you where my head is at)

You need to get hold of:

Global Communication - 76.14
Global Communication - Pentamourous Metamorphosis

These are both old CDs now, but beautiful melodic ambience never dates. Also:

Orbital - Belfast (CLASSIC CLASSIC CLASSIC track)
Orbital - One Perfect Sunrise
Banco de Gaia - Last Train To Lhasa

You like Teardrop? Nice chillout with female vocals:

Bent - Swollen
Lamb - Gorecki (possibly the most beautiful song ever made)
David Holmes - Gone
Chemical Brothers - Alive:Alone
Chemical Brothers - Where Do I Begin?
Kinobe - Slow Motion
Vargo - The Moment
Morcheeba - (anything from Big Calm)

I've got 100s of CDs so it's hard to just pick a few out, but check out these tracks, and then maybe get the albums they're from:

Bonobo - Sleepy Seven (from Animal Magic)
Kid Loco - Relaxin' With Cherry and Love Me Sweet (from A Grand Love Story)
Pilote - Turtle (Bonobo remix) (from Bonobo - One Offs Remixes and B-sides)
Mechanical Me - Beachy Head (Bonobo Remix)(from same One Off Bonobo CD)
Lemon Jelly - anything really, but Spacewalk, Ramblin' Man, Elements, Staunton Lick are all classic
Zero 7 - Both albums (Simple Things and When It Falls) are awesome, but In The Waiting Line is one of the best chilled songs ever
Nightmares On Wax - Les Nuits (from Carboot Soul)
Future Sound Of London - Papua New Guinea (all time classic)
Auto Reload - The Biosphere (very rare, but if you find it..oh you'll love it)
Autechre - Bike
William Orbit - Water From A Vine Leaf (Underworld remix)
Way Out West - Blue
Jose Padilla - Orientation (from Postcard)
Jose Padilla - Bosaxi (from Navigator)
A Man Called Adam - Easter Song
A Man Called Adam - Estelle

I could go on for ages, but I'd better stop here. Still, on a different note, if you like alternative music, and you like chillout, you should check out some early Spiritualized stuff...It's way better than the cack they make now:
Feel So Sad
Any Way That You Want Me
Sway
Why Don't You Smile Now
Angel Sigh
Lay Back In The Sun

All are great songs to just turn on and drift away to

hope you find at least something here that hits the spot

True :) Hopefully gonna see them March next year in Cambridge. Cannot wait. I have a mate who's seen them at a gig they did in London a couple of years ago. He said it was the strangest event he'd ever witnessed

Chicane. Get Chicane. Definitely get Chicane
Albums:
Chicane, 1997 - Far From Maddening Crowds
Chicane, 2000 - Behind The Sun
Chicane, 2003 - Easy to Assemble

And also, get Moby - 18 (album)

Moloko - Fun For Me is a very nice chillout song
Delirium is good too..

Hell, move here. Chillout is currently the trend in Indonesia, defeating RnB and Acid Jazz...

The dude should have been huge but shot himself in the foot by releasing such a chilled, instant classic that he never managed to equal, never mind surpass.
