My newest version of the Uzi

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. Wong, my newest version of the Uzi

I told you last night I was working on one, and well, here it is! Note: it is not complete yet, but here is my progress. If I can get it skinned it might turn out well. I used more Splines this time, as you can tell. :lol:

Ok, newest version of my Uzi. I added mostly touchup (barrel, lol) and bolts. Note: This is NOT the finished version, but I am getting closer!

Whoa, hang on there, havn't even skinned it yet. :) But when it's finished and ready to give out, you and Wong will be the first to have it. I think. lol.

Lol. Well, I was working on the Uzi some more yesterday (in tandem with the chaingun) and i lowered the poly count from 2,000 to 800. It is now a complete model. Will possibly be in working order soon. Next steps - animating, skinning, and coding! Up up and away!

Heh. I think for the most part it is done.

Just a question: Should I code it to force a reload? Or should I just have it use up all 180 bullets or what. If I want it to reload every 30 or so, should I make a reload anim? Or just make it dip out of sight? Or should I just give it the plain old kickback anim?

Id say, since its a Uzi, and has a magazine in its mesh, might as well have it reload after 32 rounds. A reload anim would look better, but having it dip would be easier, you could just use the putdown and select animations.

I would too, but that would require a hideous amount of modelling and animating. For one thing, I would need to model AND animate hands. To meet the end of February deadline I will have to make a dip-reload version. BUT! If that one works well, and seems to be popular enough I will see about making hands and a REAL reload anim. After I gain some more experience, though :)
