just some clarifications (no offense):

1) The INF_Bonus package will include only SentryStudios material. Including maps, bonus weapons, mutators released by SentryStudios team members and the Canadian camos.
The voice pack(s maybe) that I worked on with will be included too if the folks give me the permission.

2) All weapons, animations, sounds and textures included in the Bonus package are originally made by the SentryStudios team. Duke worked with and on them too of course to get them exported and imported, but they are our design and property, not Dukes.

to the other thngs:

@Duke... we finally imported the 'real' G36k scope sights like the one shown on this picture (without the text on it) and this picture and not the old simple cross shaped one.

@Psychomorph... the G36k uses the AimPoint RedDot version that is already used for the MP5s AimPoint in 2.9 (just the red dot, not the surrounding model of course).

i left some of the green tint for the lens, it's noticeable in dark areas. The reason i removed most of the green shade is cuz unreal tends to brighten things considerably. And also, if it's too green, it will just be hell to differentiate camos, as if it wasn't hard enough for most people already.

i wanna kill the guy who first started to say that we made an M16 with a reddot sight mounted on it. the fact is that it isnt a reddot sight. its meant to be a reflex sight. yes i know that the dot should have some lumination on reflexes as well, as well as the lens being a colour and also giving the view some kind of tint instead of the clear stuff like on the current M16A4.... but its all beta man. dukes trying to get stuff out probably the fastest and best he can.

Sorry UN17 for hijacking this thread badly off-topic :p
i think i'm with taque and his bling bling skin idea for the DE.50 going full gold-plated with.. diamond coverings was it? lol

Seems I was very missINFormed here, I thought it was Dukes stuff with the help of all the professional ppl here (SS and others). Now I got it, sorry for the mess.

Ok, will be fine, but is it possible, to make it kinda glowing?
Maybe not with this engine?

I'd like to further my blingbling request on the DE.50 ... btw, it was gold plated diamonds, not diamond encrusted gold. Pff, what is this, amateur hour?

The mp5 aimpoint is glowing.
I don´t mean illuminating in the dark, but a more realistic look. The MP5 aimpoint is just a round circle, very clear and transparent, but IRL it looks like it is "shining", so it is not transparent in the middle, not that hard (as I know the G36K aimpoint is orange), but gets more transparent outside around (in the dark it looks like it gets darker outside). It should look natural, like a lightsource and not like a photoshop overlay.

Aimpoint.gif

1) is INF
2) is like I think it is realistic.

Hijack away! This thread was just for fun, I'm glad some material of substance showed up here. Regarding the Hollywood standard issue pistol, I'm thinking of making it non-black as to differentiate it from the original matte black that the .357 has. Either I'll stick with the original SS team Chrome, because it's easier, or I'll see if I can make it visibly anti-milspec.

It is just a 3D thing, but what about RL?
Maybe it doesn´t look exactly like in 2), I´m not sure but maybe not so photoshop clear like in 1)?

This is from a crappy Walther 35 mm RDS. Although I actually looked through a real eotech holosight and it looked a lot more like 2)

I think it all just depends on who made the sight. But from what I see of the aimpoint video from the thread above, the dot is more of an overlay and doesn't glow. I think the new holosights, like Colt's scout sight are the ones that are glowing.

Lol, yes, that`s what it is all about ;) :D

Nice pic.
I just think the INF`s aimpoint looks way too clear.

Well zoom on xm8 is unrealitistically slow. Now there is no problem with unbalanced weapons, THERE is a PROBLEM with UNREALISTIC weapons. I wont bother to complain about the fact that the sight on the xm8 is supposed to be a red dot thats not important. Weapons in INF can have only have a limited amount of possible stats.

Penetration- determined by bullet speed and bullet type, most guns use nato 5.56 caliber so it is rarely and issue fro assault rifles.
Accuracy: determined by bullet speed, and recoil if firing bursts off course.
Recoil- determined by bullet speed and mass. Sig's muzzle velocity is higher then that of the xm8 and they use the same ammunition so the sig should have a higher penetration and accuracy as well as a higher recoil.
Rounds per minute: pretty self explanatory and rarely an issue.
Bulk- very hard to define, why is the famas have as little bulk as the sig when it weighs as much as an m16? i dont know.

Short of the bulk problems, how hard is it to mod an realistic, gun plz people. I know it is a lot of work and i wont deny it. But all statistics on the guns are availble, and directly applicable to inf.

shut up hurin...

There's a lot more that determines those variables in a game.
This isn't real life (or the classroom where most factors are neglected) where everything falls naturally into place through physics.
So you can just take your pathetic high school F=ma and cram it up your hole ring OH!
