Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. Operation stingray is the only other mod I can think of with the vortex thing going on. Bad mod by the way and this mod doesn't have the turret so doesn't really match up with your discription.
Chaos doesn't have laser turrets, but it has rocket turrets and a gravity vortex.

The turrets fire both rockets and plasma shperes (shock rifle alt. fire). though I've never played the newer versions of chaos ut, just the one for UT99
