UE3 - General Multiple bump maps in 3dsMax

I was wondering if it's possible to assign more than one map to a "bump map slot" in 3dsMax 2011? I'm creating a textures. I know this can be done in photoshop. But is it possible for example, to assign two different procedural maps to one materiel while using map channels to control their direction? So one map might show round bumps, while the second map might have a checkered kind of effect using a node based materiel editor?
