A couple of comments of the bonus pack:
It's very nice, but there are a few inconsistancies which niggle a bit.

The G3 - it's practically the same as the PSG1 and yet seems to pack less of a punch. It seems anywhere the PSG1 hits, it kills, but the G3 frequently takes two shots. Plus, the G3 on automatic doesn't climb as much as some 5.56mm rifles and certainly not as much as the AKMSU. I was fully expecting to be shooting at aeroplanes by the third round, but instead you can nearly put the whole magazine on target without much trouble.

The AT4 - the rocket seems a trifle slow. This thing is supposed to travel at nearly 290m/s, but it seems to take a couple of seconds to reach the 100m target on the range (which I realise may not be entirely accurate).

It's a different gun. Different barrel length, different weight, different characteristics. If it were the same, wtf would the point of having it in-game be anyway? Thats like adding an M16A4 without leaving any reason to choose the M16A2.

Ah. G3 and PSG1 are not as closely related as I though. I was thinking of the MSG when comparing the two.

If you want a difference, the PSG has a 'scope and the G3 doesn't.
As it stands, the 7.62 of the G3 doesn't seem to add much over the assault rifle sized rounds. Still, it looks nice and the 20 round mag is a difference too. It still doesn't kick as much as it should.

Well at least for me its the only assaultrifle I hit pretty well at 500m (without a scope). I think its an interesting addition.

I do agree in saying that new weapons should only be released to add something new to the game, but I believe the PSG1 has a longer barrel that results in higher damage than the G3.

I disagree a lot. I do not want one shot one kill weapon with full auto and being abled to be fired from hip. Will kill realism a lot, cause it would lead to more unrealistic ways of using the weapon and abusing certain things. As *some* do with an m203 for example.....strafe nading....you know what I mean.

And as deleran said: Longer barrel. (650mm for PSG, 450mm for g3)... should result in different speeds... due to the fact this damage system cannot do that much, we need to take mass * speed for trying to find a value.... so less damage. And the fact that 2 shots are a kill no matter which armor level, is a good point to use this gun. Due to some other things out there like random damage, bleeding and smaller hit locations this difference makes this gun a good alternative, and not just another assaultrifle.
