MP5 versus FN P90

Also its about the sights. The FN P90 blocks all your view when you aim it. But its easier to use the sights...

MP5 has more visibility when you aim it, but i think its harder to use the sights...

The other day I was playing on Texas Bank. I was in one of the bathrooms and some bad guys come down the hall. I gun down the first one to pass in front of the door. Figuring the other was taking cover beside the doorframe, getting ready to rush me or nade me, I figured what the hay and sprayed down the wall. Lo and behold the mighty P90 penetrated and I got the sucker. I don't think an MP5 could have done that and that is when I decided the P90 was my new thang. And it has that nifty flashlight too...

Its easy: the MP5 rulzzz, the P90 doesnt. The mp5 looks really cool, the p90 is ugly. The MP5 is made by H&K (GERMAN) and the P90 by FN (I heard FN is from Belgium). And u guys talking about its easier to aim with the P90! THATS BULL!

Actually, I think the P90 has a greater ROF than the MP5.

The P90 fires at 900rpm, whereas the MP5 fires 800rpm.


A 50 round mag for the MP5 would be nice. I'm sure Beta Company make one, but that wouldn't be mil-spec now, would it.

Mp5 has better recoil so it's easier to hit medium/long range targets, therefore mp5 is the only weapon I use (supressed one)

The FN P90 has better penetration, easier to use sights, a flashlight, a 50 round magazine, and perfect recoil that can be controlled so that all the shots could hit a dime. I'd have to go with it.

I hate those P90 sights...so the MP5 is my fav QCB gun.

Until we get some armor the only thing the P90 has going for it is bigger clips. My sig says it all.

Had the P90 in my sniperloadout before, but I use the MP5 now instead (well until the MP5k comes out. Dont know but I like the aiming of the MP5 more, and it seems to have got better recoil with the new patch.

I've given this some thought.
The open sighted MP5 is better for me in general conditions because of the increased visibility. The reflex sight just doesn't help me all that much. Now the penetration ability is welcome, but won't really show until armor is available. I do appreciate the larger magazine, but I kind of miss selectable burst-fire.

For me, an unsuppressed MP5 using burst fire is unmatched. No aimpoint assistance required.

Of course this will all have to be reconsidered when armor is available.

For me its close to a tie but I still favor the MP5 for its versatility.

Both take 3 shots to kill unsuppressed. Suppressed it takes 4 bullets from a P90 and still 3 from a MP5. I think the MP5 damage will be changed in future so for now it has a temporary advantage if your using a suppressor.

Both can be suppressed, although it looks like the P90 will have subsonic ammo in the future.

P90 has better armor penetration but at the moment its too high. If everyone takes armor I'll just load the MP5 with hollowpoints and shoot your legs off

P90 has a larger magazine but the MP5 has 3rd burst allowing you manage your ammo better. P90 ammo is slightly bulkier:150rds MP5=10, 150rds P90=12.

Seems people have mixed feelings on the P90 sights but with the MP5 you have a choice of iron or Aimpoint sights.

Looks like all weapons will have flashlights at some point so the P90 has a temporary advantage.

Hmm..tough call their both good, guess it comes down to if you like the P90's sights or not.

This is perfect This is exactly what INF is about. Two guns, different concepts in design, both finding strong support and use in teh community.

MP5 and P90 are both great guns.

I like the P90 too much.

I use the MP5 the most.

i love the MP5. The reflex site on the P90 doesn't help me at all, and destroys any possibility of getting medium-long ranged kills with it. the silenced P90 is still too loud for me, and i love the unsilenced MP5 sound. I've been killed too many times using the P90 because someone hid behind my gun and shot me

medium-long range shooting with P90

Try this with the P90 for longer ranges. Set it on Semi and ignore the circle, just put the top of the vertical red crosshair on about the targets collar and that should do the trick
