I dont know if any one has brought this up because i found nothing witht he search function :p It would be cool to add some crouchrockets or a moter bike of some sort. adding for mor fun game play.

1)having a motorcycle, dirtbike ext. would give players the chance to realy see what would happen if u slamed into an oncomming car while turning.

your player model would fly off his bike and might go hurling 200 feet, and roll to a complete stop when all of a sudden u se the monster truck come crushing over ther bodies.

2)as for cars the doors should fall of like the blades fall off of the scorpion, so when the car gets hit again the player goes flying from the car.

3)and no one has to get points for killing because some times ppl get in your way and u run em off the road.

all in all i think ppl would love to see some bikes with other ppl getting twisted up in the axles of a sports car. :)

1. i never noticed the ragdolls in onslaught interacting much with vehicles, only explosions... but there is a way to turn it on

2. the next vehicle base that unwheel is going to exist on is the same one that the scorpion uses, but not sure about doors falling off tho, especially when currently the cars dont even crumple ... the blades on the scorpion has been made to look flimsy and thus people can accept it falling off, but if you look at rally races in real life etc the rest of the car generally becomes mashed up in a way thats currently impossible (is it?) in unwheel

3. a bit of violence now and then is nice, and running over people (killing them) is fun to watch but i dont think anyone has come up with a way of making the karma physics engine make ragdolls stand back up like the havok physics engine can...

but , like i think the karma physics system only goes for 4-wheeled vehicles ... umm i think... and doing a motorbike would be ...umm tricky.. all i can think of is , it behaves like a very unstable Manta or something (the manta is referred to as the hoverbike)

Right behind you.
Dentible vehicles might be possible. If you look at the xProc Mesh Actor it takes an ordinary mesh and adds fluctuations to its structure. We just need to do that to the cars depending on were they get hit and how hard.

Of course this may be impossible, Shrimp is really more of an expert on this sort of thing.

Go talk to the CloneBandits people; they have a useable motorcycle, In fact, it's quite fun :). You don't need to make the cars get dented where they get damaged, just make some way that after x amount of damage, the textures/model are updated to a more cruncehd up one. Might be too hard, I don't care if it's not there. And whoever started this thread is too violent. :p

Ragdolls flying from motorcycles sounds like a lot of fun and would probably ensure another Best Use of Karma Physics category win.

But still, realistically denting vehicles would look amazingly cool.

From what I understand the vehicle model only changes on the Scorpion (and other vehicles in UT2K4) when it is killed, it goes to that rusted bent up hulk and all the explosion effects happen. This would be great, I think you could use maybe 2 or 3 different 'dead car' models (depending on how suitable the sizes are for each set of cars), etc. and it would look fantastic!

I'd still love to see realistically deformable vehicles...

EDIT COOL IDEA:

Instead of dentible vehicles, have bits that fly off! Like the scorpion blades, e.g. enough hits and your bumper comes off, your mirrors come off, external lights (e.g. on monster trucks) fly off with impact and stuff like that, your hood could come loose and then off same as your boot (trunk for americans).

Side dents could make the doors fling out loose and then another collision would rip the doors off!
