    Latest version, though I'm getting my damage reports from Olethros' damage reporting mutator. That's pretty much it.

    Did it again several times with the robar. Interestingly, I also did it with the AK-74SU (drum and straight mag) and the G3. All done prone and near or at a 0 degree angle.

    I just loaded up a map, took aim at the forehead and killed the bot with 1 round. Then I made sure that RT was on, RAv3 was off and disabled RandomDamage and SWNM, and still:
    shots to the head killed and shots below the nose counted as bodyshots.

    from all appearances RT is doing exactly what it claims to do, and I have know idea what this guy is talking about.



    the only thing I can think of is that if someone walks right up next to you, like right right next to you, you cannot hit them with even a short weapon like an MP5.
    screenshot attached, i cannot hit the bot at this range. probably because my weapon is right inside of him.

    I dont know about the rest of you, but ive know about this for a long time (IIRC I could do this long before 2.9) and always saw it as a 'feature' that allowed me to get extremely close to an assaulter, neutralize his weapon, and then kill him with my super-secret knife swinging technique. ;)

    this is the only 'point blank missing' that I can think of.

    I haven't reproduced it yet either, but I'm not saying there is no problem.

    I could have made an error when copying the hit detection thing from players to bots.
    Also there could be replication errors with bots.

    Finaly, it is not normal to have face starting at nose. I got to check this. It was partially fixed in the last release, but not totally.

    I remember AA:O used to have this sort of problem, and maybe still does - headshots were only shots to the "brain" area while under that counted as chest shots...

    I wonder if that's why UN17 literally rushes into your body to kill you and then makes up excuses for when you yell 'bullhookey!' because your *insert weapon* didn't do anything to him!?!?!

    @Crac: :lol: Make up all the excuses you want if it makes you feel better.

    All the weapons, even the pistol and knife "shoot" at an offset beyond the player. If you're in clipping range with another player, there is a great chance your bullets won't impact with his cylinder. I've failed countless knife attempts because I was simply too close to the target.

    Really, even with Kabar? I don't think I've ever been too close to someone, even after sprinting at them (and rubbing up against them) ... Both stab and slice?

    I use slice since it's one shot kill. Not sure what stab is for aside from appearing to be faster. It happens to me when I bump into them and slice. They don't take damage, and I end up getting lost because their player model teleports around. So I have to back up and charge in again. I initially thought it was due to some laggy players with 280 ping but it seems to happen to sub 100 ping people too.

    i thought (and still think) players will only jump around if YOU have over 250-300 ping, not if they have. As far as I know having a good ping = smooth gameplay, regardless of everyones' connection.

    Not so much an 'excuse' as much as it is 'pure fact'.

    Whenever I play you in CQB maps, you always hide somewhere and then rush up to somebody, run directly into their body so they can't hit you and then spam with whatever pistol you're using that day. And if you don't kill them and they start shooting, you bunny-hop away...

    I know everything has to 'spawn' (even the knife). You obviously know this as well. So the fact that it's a main strategy for you proves my point that it's an exploit that you abuse.

    It's not so much that it aggrivates me to die in the game. It's more along the lines of it's so gay that I can't believe my eyes that a player would go to such great lengths to abuse exploits as often as you do. Epsecially while using a .50AE DE.......

    The day you play realistically is the day I stop hating you.

    *makes toast instead of playing INF* :hmm: :rolleyes:

    hey, no need to yell at UN, to get close and pin their weapon is a perfectly valid tactic. now what isnt a valid tactic is lame-o bunny-hopping. :D
    but to his credit, I havent seen UN hop once in the last few days...

    ...which means he is either playing more realistically or getting sneakier. [​IMG]
