Any bot that can instantly turn and snipe you after you've been shooting it with shots that are near impossible to trace (like with the assault rifle) is a bot I hate.

I also hate any bot that can shoot you through fog. How can you shoot what you can't see? Bad bot AI... <grumbles>

In some situations the AI could be a little bit more "realistic", making errors (which purposly happen =), not knowing were the players are, declining orders and so on

Usualy the jugs do that the mose (e.g. Cannonball; Ambrosia; Frostbite -- The most)

I dunno why people hate the bots, I think they're great! The game is a little too easy however, I set the bot's stats all the way up, and set difficulty to Auto-adjust, and in 2 rounds I was playing on Godlike. Go figure. -_-

If you're just playing to kill things, yeah, they're too easy. But if you're going in there to actually 'play' around with them, then they're absolute garbage. After a day of practice I could go from novice to masterful, then I'd get bored because they do the same thing, every time. They're very predictable. You can't toy with them like you can actual players. Like I said, if you shoot them, they spin around and shoot right at you, where as a real player would probably get confused to hell. That's my beef with the bots. They feel too computer-like... but then again, they ARE 'bots'.

I think they are fun up to masterful. Once they go above that they just dodge everything you shoot at them which is just stupid.

Essentially, it's all the bots cranked to max and on Godlike, with max speed, Quadjump and Instagib.


That will be a challenge. Trust me.

Just find a hitscan friendly map and whore a LG and RL then you can take control of almost any bot

I hate no one in particular though. Just their 90% flak accuracy on especially close range.

You can't tell your true skills like that. Online play tells it.

I can beat 6 bots (skilled) in DM-Cawan (TDM , all bots are red, i am blue (6V1)) Without bein killed once with 60 kills.

I am a very good vCTF player online aswell. But, obviously , bots won't make you play better at all. it's DM/TDM and TAM that will really train you.

I think that is the combo of basic skill and many many hours of playing. Occasional players will never get that good, but that`s ok.... I want to play other games too

It's more than just making it more challenging, it's making it feel like you're playing against human players, which is my beef about the AI. Hate to bring them up, but Halo 2 and Half-Life 2 both have better AI; they dodge and hide, at least. I want to play against bots who think, and who don't have computer-like reflexes. Although I do love an instagib match every now and then .

I like every bot. However it is unsatisfactory.
Therefore, I have made the formidable enemys who have extra abilitys.

1. Try to edit the bot parameter "Tactics" to 5(max).

Then, Almost bot AI actions are available at "Adept".
Default characters does not use full ability of AI.

2. Try to fight against my models with "Spesiec statistics" mutator.

I'd never give up bots, it is the only way I play but I just thought has anyone of them irritated you to pieces or just seemed to grudge kill you?

I used the mutator superbots for UT2003 and get some itneresting results.

Bots that don't give up (ie. Drekorig kept spawning, jumping into a turret, shooting at me, dying, respawning jumping into another turret, rinse and repeat). Bots that link gun spam, bots that can't drive and clog up the entire convoy doing silly 200 point turns for no obvious reason, bots that can shoot you with no line of sight, any bot riding one of Monarchs battle bikes because they just kick your ass without a fight...

...bots in general really XD

...but let's face it, they're like family. You never get along with them but life isn't the same without them.
