I just want to post a quick note in regards to cheating. Over the past few days, one person has been cheating on the TDM servers. The method this person appears to have used is to connect to the server with 2 machines. One system was used to play the game while the other system was used to camp a player on the other team so that the user could switch views an learn the locations of other players. Over the course of several days, this player consistently joined as different aliases (never the same twice). Anytime the second system player was on the server, the player did good. When the second system was not connected, the player got spanked.
For this reason I have banned this account. Other server admins should be aware of this type of activity (this is of course not a new cheating method). I will not post the IP of the player, but I have banned this subnet: 12.221.247.*. I reccomend other admins do the same.
If you were the player in question and I have incorrectly take this action against you, please PM me or send me mail at [email protected] and we can discuss the situation and correct my misunderstanding.
