I don't know if this has been reported before, but the improved rolling effect does not work properly. The grenades do not roll down from slopes, but they remain where they hit the ground.

    @ Taque

Since ur the only 1 who doesn't understand, i'll explain it. I mean't that it would b a throwable grenade like the M67, but would have damage and visual fire effects like the M16a4 Incendiary nades, I shudder at the thought of M16a4 Incendiary nades without fuses, people would probably start doing suicide runs with em in CQB. *urrrgh* *shudder*

    @ Campers

well mine roll alright, haven't tried them down hills yet... buton level surfaces they roll alright! check that u have the newest version

From blah blah site on the internet

"Early 40mm HE grenades could arm in as little as 5 meters (15 feet). This was found to give insufficient protection for jungle fighting. A later 40mm HE grenade extended the arming distance to 15 meters (45 feet). Muzzle velocity of the grenade is 75 meters/second (246 feet/second). The HE grenade has a kill radius of 5 meters (15 feet) and a wounding radius of 15 meters (50 feet). The HE grenade contains approximately 300 fragments.

Ammunition for the M-79 is high explosive (HE), high explosive-dual purpose (HEDP), target practice (TP), riot gas (CS), APERS (flechette or 00 buckshot), smoke streamers, star clusters, and parachute flares."

    Oops.
    Have to correct slightly...
Appears that from the army study guide, the M67 has a 5 meter kill radius and a 15 meter casualty radius. The 40mm HE grenade has a 5 meter casualty radius. So I guess Yurch has it right.
One interesting point though is that the M67's fragments can extend out to about 250 feet though.
The army study guide says that the metal sphere of the M67 is what fragments and causes shrapnel. From reading many more sites, it appears to be the same for the 40mm HE, which many sites claim to fragment into about 300 peices. So probably about the same for the M67, just bigger fragments.
The former was from some stoner site, so I don't know if they got it mixed up with the M67 or not. So it looks like the 40mm is ok, its the M67 that needs more power.

I've shot the M203 with practice grenades, and from the size of the actual grenade ( which is quite small ), 5 meter casualty radius sounds about right. The 40mm round was, like the M249, made for suppresive fire.

Personally, after seeing one of the M67's going off in Iraq on a CNN video, I think it needs much more powerful in game. In game, the M67 seems to have about as much power as the 40mm grenade. So therefore, it needs to be 3 times more powerful. i.e. 3 x 5 meter = 15 meters.

I wonder if you've played EAS lately. Duke's new, new corrected nades are now VERY deadly up to 15m. If you're within 5m, you're pretty much dead, unlike his previous impotent version. Some people are even whining that the new nades are rediculous.

As for M203 being just as deadly as M67... That would be very scary. Killing people in a 30m diameter from 200m away is cold. Very cold.

yeah, thats called an AN-M14. It's basically a tin can with a fuse, filled with the same quasi-thermite the military uses in the 40mm version.

I tested this off- and online, but Dukes grenades do not roll properly. If you throw a grenade at very steep slopes, it does not roll down (tested it on the mountains of ExtremePrejudice, Nam and Terrain). Even if i throw it at the ground directly it does not roll correctly.

Strange, i've seen them roll several times. Maybe it's dependant on the way you throw the nade ?

yeah they are right. Just spent an hour throw nades high and the angle of the throw is a big part of the problem. Not 100% but damn close.

How about removing the freeaim? Right now, it is way too hard for new players to throw a nade through a window or doorway without killing themselves and the entire entry team.

The freeaim is only frustrating and adds nothing to gameplay. *begs duke* plzzzzzz~!

There's better ways of aiming grenades than being able to paint a crosshair in the middle of your screen. However I don't think you'll see if for the frags.

Nobody was talking of a crosshair (and I for one won't paint one on my monitor) just remove/reduction of freeaim zone.

Just add the left hand in the front screen to give an idea of what area you are "pointed" on.

Trust me I have been asking for the finger pointer @ the INF MOD forums. However I do not think my idea/request is getting anywhere. I assume it is either not possiable or to much of a pain in the ass to do.
