For a standard action movie... not bad. I was suitibly entertained and it exceeded my low expectations. Better than 2? Yes, I agree. I don't recall 1 well enough to make the judgement.

Shelf Adventure.
MI2 is a damn low bar to hop.

Not seen III, but a friend who liked the first one a lot told me it was so bad it took him two sittings to get through it. Don't think I'll bother :)

I actually remember mission impossible 1 sucking the big one, and despite the cheese-factor, much prefered 2. So, hum.
Yet to see anything to do with 3, though. :)

Dunno, I rather thought the first one was spectacular. I like John Woo and all but Tom Cruise spending most of MI2 doing acrobatic flying kicks mingled with generic shoot-outs and motorcycle chases got kind of "standard-issue-action-film" ish, which the first one avoided for the most part.

It was ok, just some things that happen in the movie that left me "WTF, ok"

Like if the guy gets electro shocks after the thing 'blows' up in his brain he can still be living, in fact, he was able to walk, speak, and remember everything that happen.

The best part was the bridge IMO, not only the the action part, for the mole part.
