Migrating from C++ to Unrealscript

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Alright, I've been sitting on the sidelines long enough, I'm ready to get my hands diry and start messing with Uscript.

My status: Perfectly capable C++ programmer , alumni of the great "Learn C++ in 21 days". (More like 5 days)

I opened up Ued 5 mins ago, and I noticed the code is remarkably well commented but I can't help but wonder if there's some sort of FAQ or tutorial to give me head start on coding for UT.

First and foremost, I'd like to get my own mutator structure set up, so I don't screw with the default UT classes.

Never done java, but I've been doing C++ for a long while now, and from what I've seen of Uscript, its looks a heck of a lot like C++.

I looks sooooo tempting to just dive in there (no sexual innuendo intended), and I already have some ideas on changing the existing UT weapons, but I don't know what to do after I change the script to my liking.

Basically, I want to know how to include my changed code into a mutator, so as to test it out in-game.
