teh Intarweb, duh
Try unchecking all the options on the left side of the screen. Then click ReGet. Then recheck all the options that you unchecked. Then click ReGet again.

Any luck?

OK, disabled the firewall, no luck, tried your idea Bleeder, no luck. I get a list of servers but only when I check the "dead" box. Is Spawnies even up, couldn't even get to it via teamspeak???Help!!! I'm dying to play.

Yeah spawnies is always up for the most part. I only seen it down when people intentionally crash it. If the master server mod is not working try good old all-seeing eye or qtracker. I get better result with all-seeing eye though.

Check for all software firewalls, don't forget the Windows one as well. If servers are appearing as 9999 ping then it's a problem connecting to the servers, not the MS.

Also, has anything about your connection changed since you last played?

I'm sure you are all correct, I did move to another state, so that was a big change since I last played. I now have DSL as opposed to cable before. Already tried the firewalls. I figured if I'm connecting to the internet why should there be probs w/ servers. ignorance on my part fer sure. Strange though, I installed Qtracker and it wont see any sergvers either, so defininitely something wrong in my set up somewheres. Any how I am trying the web update now see how that goes. I cannot re-install unreal 2 cause I cant find it. Is it possible to just reinstall XMP over it again? Or is that a waste of time. Thanks gents!

This sux, here's what I've done so far. Just to be thorough I removed and re-installed XMP, then updated to 7710, did the UI MOD, disabled network connection, reconnected, dis-abled the network, reconnected it. turned off firewall. Unchecked everything, repinged it. servers show on the list but all are 9999 w/ the ping. I'm dying here...

Computer set to com port com1, game set to 1337. I messed with the data bits per sec and it didnt do anything. Its prolly something simple I'm overlooking. But for crying out loud, I'm starting to have frickin' convulsions here....

Hayabusa you are looking in the wrong area for ports. Finding out what ports you have open have nothing to do with your network card setting/properties. You need to get a port scanner or if you are using a router on you network do a google search on port forwarding on your particular router model. Once you have the port forwarding information you can then move on and set the router to allow the U2:XMP ports. If that does not help you may have to contact you isp and ask about port information.

Thanks Creig, I scanned my ports, it showed that all my ports are completely invisible to the outside world. Now, how do I allow XMP in? i do not have a router btw, just the DSL modem.
