Have anyone thought about making a MapVote for XMP.
I think this would be very cool.

Map votes are good but there should always be a limitation on how many times a map can be selected/played...

The only reason a map vote change could pass is if a set number of people, being the majority.. vote for it to change. If they want to play the same map 4 times in a row, let them since they are the one voting for - and passing - that map. Limiting it would just take the power of voting for your maps out of the mix.. there's alwasy going to be one or two players on the server at the time who don't want even ONE map change, you can't tailor to everyone with it.. but if it is the majority, then tough luck to the naysayers.

I saw one once. It did zilch. We tried every variation of Alcazar we could think of (alcazar, Alcazar, XMP-Alcazar, XMP-Alcazar.unr, etc) and wound up with Xaemia.

Mantik I know what a damn map vote does, I'm just pointing out that in some situations it would be best to have a limit on how many times a map can be playing in a row. What your forgetting about is how it can be very repeatative if, lets say for an example a clan joins a server with the majority of players and always pick the same map cause they consider it as practice, some players may get annoyed and leave the server.

In UT they use to have a map vote which limited you playing a map constantly, I think it reduced it to playing the map once every 4 maps, I'm thinking that would be best...

    Good idea.

I'm quite sure the UTXMP will have this as its a stock feature of UT2004...

I wonder if someone could port the UT2003/UT2004 system?
