Like said... where or when will NC3 have the U1 maps back?

I mean... they ARE still around, are they?
They are part of a bigger Unreal Universe patrimony.
If WebMasters deleted them, then all people who submitted would be disconsidered. I know it's an old game, but i'd rather see those maps back than see some of the crap maps around for UT occupying your servers.

Take it into consideration.
Besides, people CAN play them in UT...

They've got Unreal 1 single player maps, but I don't believe they have any Deathmatch maps. They do have a good list of links that may help.

I´ve checked around all sites i have in FAVORITES including that and the other with similar name. I'll do a re-check later, however. Thanks anyway!

There's this ftp site which has (had?) plenty of unreal dm maps, but I can no longer access it :-/ sorry.

UTCMS usta have em. Unreal1 maps are gettin real scarce.

Unfortunately, i've checked that one too... to no avail.
It seems that all possible places that could have U1 DM maps are:

a. GONE
b. deleted their u1 DM maps
c. have broken links due to no updates
d. possible personal sites still to find, although some have just moved on to UT2003. The bettr they have is UT maps

It seems unlikely at this point i'll EVER find a database of such maps in the net...

!!! DAMN !!!

Thanks Hourences! I had fooled around with FilePlanet already, and those time server downloads. Besides, i have to "guess" by the map's name and hope that is a decent map.

It seems really the LAST place to find anything u1DM so, i'll get to get used to...

maybe you can still find a review site for u1 maps somewhere, so you can see if a map is decent or not, and then search it on fileplanet


tho you prolly wont fidn a lot of review sites anymore either
else search on authors you know are good, and try to find their maps

They still have them, you just need to know the map's name... I did a look for "Dropzone", as DMDropzone is one of the few U1 maps that I can remember the name of, and the U1 DM map showed up in the search results as well. So, I guess all those U1 maps are still on UTCMS; it should have one of the biggest, if not the biggest U1 map collection around, i.e. all the U1 maps NC used to have before changing to NC3, if I'm not mistaken.

EDIT: Go to "advanced search"; in the menu that shows "all categories" by default, select MOD level, and then select the kind of Unreal gametype you're interested in. Don't enter anything else, and start the search; That way, it should show all available maps for the selected gametype: A nice amount of U1 maps should show up

i'm happy! Can you notice ?

I wasn't immediatly apparent in the menu of search (dunno why, but Unreal options are missing until you select MOD-thingy-option). Then all i have to do is select u1DM and i'm flyin' !!!

Unreal 1 deathmatch maps can be played in UT, what's wrong with that?

Head to www.oldunreal.com . Smirftsch has over 1000 Unreal maps floating around there, plus a few reviews and some newer maps. Yes, there are people still making maps for U1, and I'm one of them.
OldUnreal also has a few mods, like the original Infiltration and RealCTF, and others like Serpentine.

Also try www.mapheaven.net (if they're still up), they have a lot of maps which used to be in the NC database.

Some might not work for me, though. I have UT GOTYE and RtNP, NOT Unreal. Still, maps work... and i'm willing to map for it, even if for fun and personal use (the RtNP weapons).
