I don't know if it would be possible, but it would be more realistic if you could somehow lie down. Especially snipers. Some weapons could then also use bipods for increased accuracy. Just a thought. Also, the ability to "cook-off" grenades by releasing the spoon, but waiting to throw. Makes air-bursts possible. Any of this possible? Probable?

YEH

I suggested it quite some time ago. It would really bring it up to a more realistic Mod.

Grenades

It is already in the game. If you press the fire button and hold it down, the grenade will remain primed until you let the button go to throw it. You can run around for hours with a primed grenade... unless you get shot.

grenades

Nightpaw,
You can hold the grenade, but how long you hold it doesn't affect the delay as far as when it goes off after leaving your hand. There are times when you might want it to go off 1 second after throwing. Also, another nice feature would be for the grenade you are holding to drop and go off if you are killed while holding it. I don't know if it still does, but Action Quake used to do this. It allowed suicide tactics. Imagine rushing a room full of enemies and ammo, just to die and drop the armed grenade and take them with you. Just a thought.

Prone position- I pity the foo who doesn't check the damn roadmap.

Grenade cookoff- already in the game. Just use secondary fire... just don't hold it like that for five seconds. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Dropped grenade detonation- It already works with primary fire, will work with secondary too in 2.8, I believe.

I wonder how lying prone will work in UT, with animation ability. Warren said once that it doesn't look so good yet, or something to that effect, but that's been some time ago.

And I know I haven't been around as much lately, but what's with all these stars next to my name. I'm getting self-conscious.

Mr. T, it's 'cause you're a lean, mean, postin' machine!! /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

To answer White Rabbit's question, you're hitting the "sky" w/ your grenades because in those particular maps the bsp "ceiling" is set not very high. In some outdoor maps it's set only a few UnrealEd units above the highest structures. Not sure why they do that, but there it is.
