    Yeah, I know, my first real UT map still lies unfinished in my hard drive. Maybe I should try the "build a map using 5 cubes only", how hard can that be...lol.

    No no no, if you want a really bad map then download this one
    heh sorry but when I saw your post I couldn't resist.
    I like your site, it's cool. The CTF tower idea sounds really cool. All our CTF maps are based on horizontal axis. I think you could do some cool stuff with a map based on the z-axis. Do post it here once it's done:)

    Yeah, come to think of it, the standard maps only have small doses of z axis. Some of the custom maps are better with it (Terra has good z axis).

    I think Epic did a good thing with limiting it (z axis) in their release maps. It's much more newbie friendly. I like some of the open maps better myself.

    Hal I meant based on the z axis a s a main rather then a secondary. The idea I get from coyote's level is kinda like this.
    One base is on the top
    One is at the bottom.
    The bases are basically on the same x,y coordinates just different z coordinattes. This would pose some interesting mapping challenges though, as going down is always easier then going up. Ofcourse there might already be a map like that. Dreary and Terra are still based on a horizontal plane with gome good z axis elements thrown in.
    Whew hope that's not confusing:)

    I've been throwing around several ideas for outrageous z-axis maps. One of them involves cliff-jumping to the opponent team's base. (That map would probably have to be low-gravity - or else have them land in a pool of water.) The fall would take about 30 to 60 seconds (maybe longer!) to complete - and maybe cliff-mounted gun turrets would be shooting at you during the fall. :D

    Right now I'm working on my latest divine inspiration called CTF-NaliMoshPit. With this map, you'll be able to stage dive into a crowd of bewildered Nalis. Yes, to get to the opponent team's base you have to wade (or blast) your way through a discoteque filled with Nalis! :D

    Coyote, you have some really zany ideas (read as cool) maybe you should change your nick's prefix to wile -e :D
