Yep! You read it here. That is what I'm looking for. I have the map but I think I'm missing an additional file that has the maps exact name. Maybe a texture or a music file. I don't know for sure. If anybody has it and it works on their computer, please let me know. Thanks!

Odd. It is an awesomely beautiful map but when I run out of some of the bottom floor doors to get a weapon outside, my player instantly dies like the breath of God in the MH-Indiana Jones map. In reading about the map, nobody described this happening so I don't know what to think. My install is clean and perfect. Sometimes I can go out and get the gun and come back in without dying. Other times it kills me every time I go through the door.

Make sure you don't have any mods activated.

I don't think I had any mods running. I'll have to test some more tonight. It will be much later so don't expect a response this evening about it. Thanks folks.

OK, I checked and I'm not running any mods. On the bottom floor of the main building there is a long table dead center of the map. At each end of this long table if you are running away from the table are open doors to go outside where you can see a weapon pickup. This is true going either way. One of the doors allows me to go in and out all I want. The other door, the one closest to the piano is the door that kills me if I try to pass through it. When I die going through it, I get the message that "Hermskii left a small crater" as though I had fallen to my death. That's all I got folks. While the map is very nice to look at, it is not any good for playing in as near as I can tell so no big deal. I won't cycle it anyway but it is a shame that it appears to be in good working order except that door by the piano. Peace!

Left a small crater and you leave no body? Definitely a BSP error. You can fix it by rebuilding the map properly. Just make sure to rename it in order not to cause version mismatches.

When I die going through the door the view changes immediately to third person or behind view (whatever it is called). I can see my player body crumple to the ground slowly as thoughI'd been shot with a pistol one too many times. During that I see the message about leaving a small crater. After I respawn, the Chateau is mall enough that often I can run back to that door in time to see my former body do that green evaperating thing it does up into the air and then it disappears completely. I would call it a totally standard UT2004 death.

I have never mapped so I don't know what these BSP things are other than to know they seem to be a bad thing when discussed in maps. In other words, I could not fix this map if I tried not to mention there is still some crazy small chance it is something to do with my install. Anybody else want to install it, play it, test it, UnrealED into it and see what the issue is if in fact it is the maps problem? I got it here:

Bump! Nobody? Anybody? C'mon mappers! Just install it and play it and see for yourself if it happens to you. If it does, open that map up and fix it! Let me know. Thanks!

I would help you more but alas I no more have any access to any UT game. I'm temporarily dead in the water ATM.

Well. you see, when I finally transferred out of my last college this year to another, I had to give back the laptop they gave to every student which, mind you, was very nice one.

I can't even use my mom's computer ATM for games and the laptop I currently now have did not come with windows when I got it so I needed to use Ubuntu. And I don't think I need to tell you how hard it is to get games to play on a Linux computer.

So yeah. Until at least I can get the funds to buy another laptop, I can't play any computer games right now.

That is awful! How long till you get money together for a laptop. You should be able to buy some old 1000mhz laptop for nothing and it will play UT just fine. They have brand new laptops these days going for just $300 sometimes.

Well, actually, there may be something I can do.

My uncle gave me his own old custom built desktop. It has a 1 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, a very decent video card, and Windows 2000. It's not exactly going to be able to run Crysis but for UT/UT2004, it'll do just fine.
