There appears to be a bug in the linux (and mac?) client of UT2k4 that crashes when trying to use the motion blur effect in mods. Is there any way to disable this effect or can an option be made to do so? Game seems to work fine as long as I don't use turbo but being in last place most of the time isn't much fun :(

Hmm... as far as I know, the motion blur exists to make the turbo a fairly painful experience as so not to be overused, so it is a feature adding to the fairness of the game.

Once I get the newest version (bloody ISP has a 2.5GB/month limit on my head) of UW, I might hack it a bit, but it won't be compatible with the official version. Let's just wait for Shrimp, the lead programmer, to chime up and tell us his point of view.

??? its a visual effect, its to give a feeling of speed, the turbo is limited to bursts and recharge time to save on fairness, and I am not sure about turning off the blur I thought this issue came up before, i think there is a thread that talks about this.

Edit: Here is that thread, I dont think it got resolved, but i could be wrong.
