Level editing in UT?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

When I try to start the UnrealED.exe that comes with UT, I get an error message saying: "Component THREED32.OCX is not correctly registered: file missing or invalid." What can I do about this? I really want to get into some level editing for UT.

If you look back at the forum's history you might find a sloution but this is what I did to solve the problem...

1. I downloaded the Fix4 (get here: http://unreal.epicgames.com/Files/UnrealEdFix4.exe

2. I installed it somewhere (this can be anywhere at all, but I didn't install it in the System Folder of the game).

3. I then UNINSTALLED it AND kept the shared files it installed (one of which is the THREED32.OCX)...

4. Then I ran the UnrealEd.exe in the Unreal Tournament system folder...
