    It depends: Are you in regular gameplay or in a cutscenes? Falling damage depends very much on this. It's not even certain if you're sure you're in regular gameplay: Does the level look like it might go on down there? Because if it doesn't you'll die regardless of height, but if it does, chances are it'll drop you even farther down than you could normally fall, with or without an additional cutscene showing the fall!

    It's tricky.

    Also, as others, including Riddick in Escape From Butcherbay noted, "It's not the fall that kills you *crunch* It's the sudden stop at the bottom"
