Ill cut this into Pro's and Con's, like all the badasses do:

Pros:
Using the [insert] stealth mode is freakin cool. VERY nice effect :)
Ninjas own!
The 'widescreen' view when youre spectating is neat
Running on walls!!
Most of the ninja magic kicks huge ass.

Cons:
Combat is hard :p Cant really tell whether or not you'll hit, or even what counts as a hit or a miss.
The Ninja Stealth power is redundant and sort of a waste. Why would i use all my adrenaline to go stealth when i could just hit insert and get a cooler effect anyway?
The attack animations play pretty slowly... like im waving a feather duster instead of a badass ninja sword

Things that would rock:
Ninja stars!
An Invasion mode... where hundreds of throwaway ninja badguys come at you and you cut the bajeesus out of them.

Overall I think its got a ton of potential and has some really cool ideas going on under the hood... I think though, that because the combat is so confusing, that draws a lot out of it

edit: A combo ability that gives you mad crazy ninja agility would be slick. Not running fast, but enhanced jumps and dodges instead.

I had a hard time using the sword
the mines felt weak

But I do like this mod, I personaly use the shurikens the most.

This is cool, keep up the good work.

This is all good stuff.

Melee: I won't argue with anyone on this one
Invasion: fascinating
Invisibility: I'm not sure what I was thinking there - the Ninja Master made me do it?
Weapons keys/Readme: I knew I must have forgotten something - call it a surprise instead!

In my defense, there is no indicator on the hud saying youve got other weapons and using the next/prev binds doesnt make them show up ;) If you want help with the animations Id be willing to take a stab at it... er...

Yeah, I think if when you pressed a weapon key, all the alternatives popped up, that might be better. Or show all the weapons and spread out the keybinds. Or, at one point I was thinking about you having to pick one weapon for each category at the start, but I decided that wasn't going to be any fun and there would be extra work to build a shopping UI.

As for the actual animations - how to phrase this? I do have stuff I want to work out on my own, and this whole 'mod recruiting' thing seems like a waste of time, but...the Ninja Master wants a melee system that works and looks halfway decent and he'll kill me if he doesn't get one. So whether I want help or not, I'll take it, and I definitely have no problem opening up the hood and plugging in new things to try out, whether they be code, animations, etc. I mean, heck, I wouldn't have a mod if it weren't for tutorials and forums, etc.

Personally, my current plan is to take a break for a few weeks (just reading email, playing games, vacation, etc, plus that crazy work thing that pays the bills)...then figure out the next goal (ninja or not-ninja).
