Admittedly, I haven't been concerned with the ladders since we get scrims fairly often. In scrims, we can just play and have fun, but when it comes to the ladders, other clans can get really picky and whiney. It takes all the fun out of the game.
However, Lurker is also correct. One reason we stopped playing the ladders is that we came to a point where we weren't able to field enough players for a scheduled match, due to time conflicts and so forth. Another is even if we *did* get our players together for a scheduled match, the opposing clan only showed up half the time, and then they even showed up late. It was a big waste of time, and, again, took all the fun out of the game.
Now, we could re-join the ladders and see if those situations have changed, but the only thing that would be different is that we might be able to play a more varied assortment of clans. Whether we actually do will probably be up to everybody.
