UE3 - GoW Kismet Cursor Woes

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Hey guys, new poster here.

I have advanced experience in modified versions of U3, but Gears seems to be making a newb of me on a particular problem. Hoping someone here might have an idea.

Seems whenever I click, select or drag anything in Kismet, my cursor likes to return to 0,0 monitor 1. This seems to only occur when Gears CookedPC maps are loaded. New or blank maps are fine.

I'm running two monitors, have tried min/max both viewport and kismet windows, tried swapping them from monitor 1 to monitor 2, putting both windows on the same monitor.

Well I narrowed it down to something in the cookedPC persistent level. I'm guessing there is something there to keep people from messing with the scripting.

Something I like to do when mapping in Unreal is to open the cookedPC maps to populate the generic browser with assets related to the theme I'm working with. The work around was to simply import those sub-levels into a fresh persistent. Can't wait for a version of the editor that incorporates their new content browser.
